There are so many tasty tit-bits of information out there. They spin the mind in a whirl of curiosity. Some of them send a story idea into the forefront of the mind.
Some of my stories come from these moments, some of them come when I’m researching a story that’s already underway. Looking for a bit of meat for the underlying issues?
How about this: https://www.sciencenews.org/article/radio-wave-bubbles-milky-way-black-hole
Okay, I’m not looking for black hole stuff at the moment, but so much fun to play with.
How about if you want to consider a new place to find a home: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-08-28/new-model-suggests-hundreds-of-alien-water-worlds-exist/10167792
Or you want to know who really rules the world: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgbqXsA62Qs

Yes, I’m a bit restless, and not looking for ideas. This might even be called procrastination while editing. It happens. New ideas want whisper sweet nothings in my ear. And I want to listen. First, though, the current project.
This one will be a sub to a publication. A shorter than usual for me, but not a short-short. Short is so hard. Soon, it will be done, and the siren song of the new ideas will blast their way into my sleep, into my waking moments, into every breath.
How do you find ideas? Or do you find it more fun to hunt them up?
Stay safe, read a book. And don’t forget, it’s the last few days of the Smashwords discounts/free offers: https://www.smashwords.com/profile/view/CageDunn

My ideas tend not to come from *Outer Space* but from *Inner Space*, being much influenced at the inspiration stage by e.g. the like of Jung… and mythology

Ah, yes, another avenue … so many roads with interesting signs, or signs that need interpretation/translation — such fun, isn’t it?
